We are pleased to announce that we will be offering a new, upgraded version of Newscaster to all of our clients! The new version, Newscaster 3.0, will not only have a new look, but will be loaded with many new features.The official software release of Newscaster 3.0 is on December 1, 2006. Soon after this date we will begin upgrading each client, one at a time, to ensure a smooth, seamless transition.

The mandatory upgrade will be free of charge to all of our clients. We expect to have all versions of Newscaster upgraded by January 31st , 2007. The scheduled date for your upgrade delivery will depend on customizations to your current version.You will be contacted by the Newscaster support team approximately 7 days prior to your scheduled upgrade date and given a brief demo outlining Newscaster’s new features.

In the new upgrade you will find we have maintained the “easy to use” functionality of the earlier 2.0 version. We are confident that you will love the new features that are included in the new version. Many of these features are based on your feedback over the past years and we ask that you please continue to offer suggestions on how to make Newscaster even better.

Newscaster 3.0 Features

Multiple Newsletter Templates. Allows you to have separate templates for different subscriber demographics.

Delivery Schedule. Schedule the date and time for your newsletter delivery. No more getting up at 5 a.m. to hit the send button for those time sensitive news releases.

Article Creator. Instead of inserting full articles in your newsletter, you can now create additional pages that are linked from your newsletter. Just add an article title, a short description, and a “More” link in your newsletter. The “More” link will open the full article page that you created.

PDF Upload. Upload PDFs that link to your newsletter.

Unique Views. Displays total unique views on a per newsletter basis.

Subscriber Views. Display individual subscribers that have viewed each newsletter.

Search Opt-Outs. A search field to find an individual in the opt-out list. Has a one-click option to put them back into the active list.

Records Per Page. Set number of records per page for viewing results pages (subscribers, archived newsletters, etc.).

Enhanced CSV Export. Displays all field headers.

Enhanced Image Gallery. Organize your uploaded images with directories that you can create.

Sort by Opt-Out Type. View and sort op-out list by Admin, Bounce-back, or Subscriber.

Save Reminder. Reminder to save newsletter if editor page is refreshed or exited

Website Interface. Newsletter archive interface for client website. This interface allows you to display on a page within your website, a dynamic list of your archived newsletters.

Manage Demographics. Add/Edit/Delete your own subscriber demographics.

Delivery Parameters. Edit default “From Email” and “From Name”. This is the name and email address that the newsletter is to be sent from.

Forgot Password? Password retrieval option (at login).

Extended Newsletter Editor. Larger window area for creating and editing your newsletter.

Browser Auto- Detector. System detects if browser requirements are meet before logging in.

Central Login. All clients will now login from the Newscaster home page.

Opt-in Form Generator. A wizard for admin to generate opt-in form html code.

Save Template as Default. Edit newsletter template and save as default.

Message Alert Editor. Edit the “thank you” message displayed when a new subscriber opts in. Edit the “thank you” message that is sent by email to the subscriber after opt-in. Edit opt-out message (message displayed after subscriber opts out). Edit opt-out message (message sent by email to subscriber after subscriber opts out).

Manage Fields. Add/Edit/Delete text input fields (allows you to collect more information from your subscribers such as company, address, phone, etc.).

Apply Template. Apply your newsletter template to the Newscaster default pages (subscribe, unsubscribe, update profile, send to a friend).

Manage Admin Users. Create additional admin usernames and passwords. Edit your own password.

Enhanced Newsletter Templates. Newsletter template displays properly when subscriber replies or forwards a newsletter.
